The Andela Robot Weeder from Andela Techniek & Innovatie is a fully automated, autonomously driving weeding robot that detects and then removes various weeds in the row in different crops using an AI algorithm.
This robot is the sustainable and efficient answer to the labor shortage in agriculture.
The Andela Robot Weeder detects weeds from 1 millimeter and removes them with electricity, without disturbing the soil and thus creating no seedbed for new weeds. The Andela Robot Weeder can be equipped with multiple configurations of 6 to 12 weeding units, which can be infinitely adjusted to different row distances. The driving speed of the machine depends on the weed density and is a maximum of 1,500 meters per hour. The Andela Robot Weeder can be used 24/7, 100% chemical-free, is powered by solar energy and is equipped with RTK GPS.
