Harvesting onions with Andela Techniek & Innovatie

In 2009, Andela Techniek & Innovatie developed and built a self-propelled onion harvester on behalf of Van Beem Agro BV from Zeewolde (Flevoland) on a dismantled Agrifac beet harvester. The machine tops the haulm and harvests 3 beds of 2.25 meters in one harvesting pass and has a capacity of 2.5 hectares per hour. The transport width of the onion harvester is 3.20 meters.
